August Garden Tour

Tour of Master Gardener Gus Vizgirda’s garden on Saturday, August 15th, from 9:30am to 11:00am.  The garden is located at 290 Sliger Road in Jonesborough.

Gus and his wife are eager to show and share what they are building.  Visitors will see their home compost bins and rainwater storage.

The yard has raised beds with herbs, tomatoes, and peppers. A small orchard holds peach trees, Paw Paws, and newly planted heritage apple trees that he grafted himself. Blueberry and raspberry bushes, as well as a native wildflower plot in the making (A five-year project), grow alongside a greenhouse. He will stand by to answer your questions. He has some shade to escape the August heat, and visitors can park on either side of the gravel road.
