DESCRIPTION:April 23 \nReady for a lovely springtime HIKING ADVENTURE? Celebrate the day after Earth day as we hike up into nearby Bays Mountain Park from Laurel Run Park. This will be a great chance to discover the amazing diversity of our earth’s wildflowers and native trees. It will also be a chance to view two small but dramatic waterfalls. \nPlease note that this is a challenging 4+ mile hike. Participants must be prepared for unbridged creek crossings\, some very muddy trails\, a few steep climbs\, and the possibility of stinging nettles\, black bears and venomous snakes. Wear long pants and sturdy hiking footwear. Bring rain-gear and snacks. \nWe’ll meet at the big parking lot uphill from the Warriors’ Path headquarters (the former pool parking lot)\, departing PROMPTLY at 1:00 PM to drive to the trailhead.
